Mountain Leader standard Navigation in Snowdonia. Planning the next leg so important to get your strategy right which you can with Mountaineering Joe

Being able to Navigate in the mountains is important particularly in bad weather. While planning your next leg it’s important to get your strategy right to save you time not having to refer to the map during the leg. Contour interpretation is particularly important in complex steep mountain ground. We were really enjoying ourselves until a Snowstorm came in. Just as well we could navigate! Thanks to Raj, Keiran, Louise, Bani, and Dan what a great group I had on our Mountain skills course this March. Topics discussed included planning your route, route finding, clothing systems, mountain weather, emergency situations and of course navigation You also get me to chat in the future to keep developing those mountain skills.
