Multi pitch rock climbing Feeling relaxed on Rock leading

Multi pitch rock climbing in Snowdonia. Learning to lead trad on Rock. Sometimes it’s not the actual climbing that holds back for trad climbing but setting up of the belay in the appropriate manner to avoid tangles and allow things to run smoothly. Running through your rope techniques and stance organisation on belays is a good way of feeling confident to climb on Rock and increase your grade. Multi pitch rock climbing with Mountaineering Joe

An excellent day rock climbing high up in the Pass on Gyrn Lass on the south side of the Pass. We climbed the Grooves (E1 5b) which is a 3 pitch route up the main central buttress. It has a steep crack on the middle pitch.

Teaching Multi-pitch rock climbing this week. We had great fun running through belay stances organising ropes to keep them out of the way with belays where they is little space particularly on hanging belays and keeping rope drag down. Multi-pitch rock climbing with Mountaineering Joe

Rock climbing on in the Wen Zawn on the Anglesey sea cliffs with Mike. We had a great time climbing routes from just above the sea tide. We climbed Wen Chimney and Dream of the White Horses which is of course one of the best sea cliff routes in the country. Mike lead the hard pitches on Wen Chimney and the Dream which was very smoothly done. An excellent day on the sea cliffs!
