Our Snowdonia Epic Ridge Walks are:

  • The Carneddau Northern Ridge and Aber descent (25km) tackles the traditional northern ridge. The summits of Pen Llithrig y Wrach (799m), Pen yr Helgi Du (833m), Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m), Foel Grach (974m), Foel Fras (942m) and Drum (770m) are linked along high ridge crests. A long undulating ridge descent via Abergwyngregan to the coast completes the day.
  • The Glyders Main Traverse (20km), provides a long and varied walk, of rocky summits, scree paths, pinnacles and boulder pavements. We summit the following: Carnedd y Filiast (821m); Mynydd Perfedd (812m); Foel Goch, (831m); Y Garn (946m); a grassy descent to the lowest col on the ridge, Llyn y Cwn, then the long ascent to the Glyder plateau and the summits of Glyder Fawr (999m) and Glyder Fach (994m); the descent into the boggy terrain of Llyn y Caseg Fraith; and the final major summit on the route of Gallt yr Ogof (762m)
  • The Snowdon Horseshoe (12km) combines the East Ridge of Crib Goch (921m), the nerve-racking traverse of the knife-edged and pinnacled Crib Goch and the first step on Crib y Ddysgl. Traversing Crib y Ddysgl to the summit of Garnedd Ugain (1065m) then onto Snowdon. Leaving Snowdon summit we descend to a marker stone on the south-west ridge. Our path continues down loose scree paths to the south face of Bwlch y Saethau. From here we traverse Lliwedd (898m) keeping to the rocky crest, and summiting the West and East Peaks. We continue our descent down ledges and loose scree to the shore of Llyn Llydaw and the Miner’s Track to Pen y Pass.
  • The Snowdon Group Main Traverse (20km) crosses the Snowdon Group from Beddgelert to Llanberis comprising, tracks, rocky paths and easy scrambling. A narrowing ridge takes us to our first major summit Yr Aran (747m). We rise steadily along the crest of the south ridge to the summit of Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa (1085m). Zig-zagging down to Bwlch Cwm Brwynog we pick up the steep ridge to the summit of Moel Cynghorion (672m). Following a shallow ridge west we begin an ascent of Foel Goch (605m) and from the col beyond the ridge to Foel Gron (629m). Our final major summit Moel Eilio (726m) is reached via a more open ridge.
