The final steep section of Sinister Gully

Winter climbing on Bristly Ridge in Snowdonia. We walked Tryfan Bwlch and Climbed Bristly Ridge via Sinister Gully on the right hand side on the main Bristly Ridge and finished on top of the main Glyders cliff. We were well protected in the gully out of the wind and had a great day! With Mountaineering Joe

A day spend practicing gear placements on real rock. Jan wanted to practice placing all types of gear on rock before leading a multi pitch climbing in Snowdonia. I have included a few simple placements she tried out during the day. Moving from indoors to outdoors climbing with MountaineeringJoe

Anglesey coastal Path: Fantastic Sand dunes

Anglesey coastal Path: Fantastic Sand dunes

We walked out towards Abermenai Point across the sand dunes which are some of the largest in Europe. Stunning views from the sand dunes of the mountains of Snowdonia. We then walked along towards Newborough beach and found the walk ways from the car park under sand with the high winds we have been during. An excellent day’s walking on the Anglesey coastal path.
